The WPA XVII WORLD CONGRESS OF PSYCHIATRY and the Educational Programme are certified by the Berlin Medical Council with continuing medical education points (CME-credits). Additionally the Scientific Programme has an UEMS-EACCME-accreditation.

The European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) of the UEMS has certified the Scientific Programme of the WPA XVII WORLD CONGRESS OF PSYCHIATRY with 28 European CME-credits (ECMECs). Please note, that the Educationale Programme has no extra-accreditation according to the EACCME.

The WPA XVII WORLD CONGRESS OF PSYCHIATRY BERLIN 2017, Berlin, Germany, from 8–12 October 2017 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 28 European CME-credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Programme of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.


The Berlin Medical Council has certified the Scientific and the Educational Programme of the Congress with continuing medical education points (CME-credits).

A certificate of attendance along with CME-credits can be requested either at special terminals located in the entrance foyer or comfortably online between 16 October and 31 December 2017. Please note, that attendance and full payment will be audited and an evaluation of the congress will be required in order to receive CME-credits.

Educational Programme 
Participants who attended the Courses during the WCP 2017 can receive 5 CME-credits per Course. Please kindly note that participants can only obtain CME-credits either for the congress or for the Courses within the same timeframe.
